Project Summit – Dress for Success Closet!
Hello! We are the Project Summit Team!
Recently 6 young woman representing Stoney Creek, Adams and Rochester High Schools went to a woman’s summit and decided at the conference that Rochester Community Schools is in need of a “Dress for Success” closet to support students at RCS with the appropriate clothing needed to participate in competitive events, job shadowing, internships, interviews and more!
We are seeking your help to raise enough funds to help fill our closet with clothing to empower and support our peers.
This is our proposal’s compelling why…
We are so excited that 15 students from the Dr. Schultz campus have been selected to participate in the Detroit Economic Club Career readiness program!! Click here to learn more about the Detroit Economic Club Career readiness program: https://www.econclub.org/career-readiness-academy/
In the next 5 months, these students will participate in creating professional Linked IN accounts, be assisted with resume building, attend field trips that include job shadows, professional interviews and networking events.
We are seeking your help to help create a closet at the Dr. Schultz campus for these students (and future students) to shop at before attending the academy. We know that having the appropriate clothing will let the students feel empowered, career ready and confident to attend all the events in the next 5 months.
