Hello! My name is Mrs. Karen Malsbury!

I am the Director of Career Readiness and CTE at Rochester Community Schools. I am seeking your help to raise enough funds to take two (2) student leaders from all three high schools; Rochester Adams, Rochester and Stoney Creek, to represent themselves and their schools at the MASSP Woman’s Summit in Grand Rapids on November 6th and 7th 2022

These students currently hold leadership positions in Student Council, HOSA, DECA, Robotics, Key Club, NHS, NTHS, Sports captains, battle of the books organizer and are ready to commit to this summit so they can share their learning with their fellow classmates and schools.

The whole summit is geared towards encouraging our woman leaders to use their voice to impact change. The summit is described as: MASSP Women’s Summit offers professional school and student leaders from across the state a platform to address the most important issues facing women leaders today.

Through the lens of Inspire, Connect and Empower, this two-day summit will feature widely-respected thought leaders, exhibits, networking, and breakout sessions. The summit is designed to empower and inspire women from all over the state of Michigan to positively influence and change the world around them.

This is my proposal’s compelling why…

For over 20 years I have traveled and exposed my students at Rochester high School to opportunities where they can connect, network and grow. In my new role as Director of Career Readiness and CTE, I hope to give that same opportunity to all students of RCS through creative and innovative programming that showcases RCS career readiness initiatives and varying career pathways to success.

This conference will allow me to conduct a breakout session where these student leaders can show their entrepreneurial voice and leadership expertise with woman from across Michigan.

More about my project…

Please check out the summits website at https://massp.com/WomensSummit to see the plethora of breakouts and key note speakers these Woman student leaders will engage with.
