Hello! My name is Ms. Lauren Staniszewski.
I am the Band Director at Stoney Creek High School (SCHS). I am seeking your help to raise enough funds to support a fantastic collaboration with the SCHS Cougar Jazz Band and a professional jazz musician, Jesse Elder!
Professional jazz musician, Jesse Elder, is a Rochester native and alumni, and is currently serving as keyboardist and arranger for the popular jazz group, Postmodern Jukebox (https://postmodernjukebox.com/)
As a part of Jesse’s collaboration with the Cougar Jazz Band, Jesse will serve as artist-in-residence, working as a clinician and arranging a brand new piece of music for the Cougar Jazz Band!
The new piece of music will be also be premiered by Jesse and the Cougar Jazz Band at Cliff Bell’s Jazz Club in Detroit on Monday, May 11th, 2020. We hope you can come join us for a great night of jazz music and an exciting world premiere!
